Phew... So term 2 started again..

Juz realise tt the previous post is juz a venting anger post.. Tink tt no matter how it is it's a little too late to change everything now... Hopefully, all e choir members will change & do their best 4 SYF... GAMBATE!!!! So the following went past:

1)Valentine's Day: Can say we work rather long at jane's hse, packaging & cuttin e roses den was quite well done though e accounts until now haven even settle yet.. Gd job prefects...

2)Prefects' Amazing Race at Botanic Garden, though everything was'nt very well planned, hopefully next yr e prefects will do a better job.. Thanks to Mr Goh who cancelled his dental appointment to join us... (:

3)Student Leaders' Investiture: Ok, I'm officially promoted as a vice-head prefect... :D Hopefully i can carry out my duties well till i step down...

4)Sports Day: Tink we made quite alot of money?? Haha, but tis yr i'm e buy ice woman sia.. Go Nihon Mura buy ice den i noe i kena scam by NTUC... Haha, cos Nihon can bargain, NTUC cannt and ice cubes standard size... >.< Anyway thank you Mr Azlan for driving me, zy & xy 2 AMK hub NTUC.. E trip there thru & flow in ur car was fun-filled with laughter & knowledge... :D

5)Commendation Day/Earth Day: Nidda do usherin and pin up cosage(???), better nt poke e VIP...& I'm prize winner for PRINCIPLE OF ACCOUNTS :D Heard tt nidda lead the ppl involve in singin the school song wif Jane & zy... -.-''

6)SYF/MYE: Hopefully we can maintain a bronze wif e current standard & muz pia 4 MYE liao cos after tt june will be chinese 'O's... Arghhhh, gettin nearer... All in all work hard & play hard!!!!!

So today, mark kor(decide 2 call him tis 4 now.. XP) came over 2 school to film & sorta interview me & zy on Earth Day for commendation day & i'm laughin lik mad lik tt, cannt stop, luckily no behind the scenes or will be so damn embarrassing!!!!

E-learning tmr, work from home, gonna logout liao or my internet will go siao again!!!!! Sian why muz haf tym 2 log-in one... >.<''

I'm seriously very sick and tired of choir... Wad's fun in a choir if everytime u go in & u haf 2 scream and shout at ur members, cannt play and fool around for all u wan as u haf 2 set an example for them..
Cannt haf the sound which u can hear lik e WYCF choir n yet ppl call it gd... Cannt make everyone lik wad a choir shud really be like, collaboratin together, instead u all are like enemies..
When ur section leaders are conductin warm-ups, wth is the attitude tt u all give.. Think about it man, mayb u all dun lik mrs lim lik i do and somewhat gt influence by me SO WAD...
I still gif me best for great music as i believe no one can disrupt music-making, it's juz how u look at it... All of u go wif a bo-chap mood & call urself a musician which i dun tink so...

And those who put their mind in is wastin their time!!!! Why muz we always return home late and be so tired that u do nt wan to do hw or revision??? And u r nt gettin the results you shud get????

WTH is tis type of life...

Seeing ur frenz go home, able to haf a nap, finish hw or sometimes go J8 shop shop, buy stuff etc.. They look relaxed and they are but we are juz puttin up fronts of being relaxed wen u r so stressed within urself!!!

I used to be someone who like choir very much from how u can see 3 of us enjoy from WYCF(i keep repeatin it cos it's seriously so great tt u would keep repeatin bout it) but now i'm one who is so damn sick of it cos we r nt workin lik a team shud b lik!!!! Now i seriously understand why ppl 'pon' their CCA...

Prefects are seriously much much better to work wif man, they would be wad i call a team... Where Together Everyone Achieve More... :)

Ok, it's been 39days since my last post..

So secondary4 started and i'm filled with hw everyday, owing of homework is a definate one... Goin home everyday is juz a place 4 me to rest larh, nt even e mood to do hw.. Unlike last year where i doze off to sleep and i'll jump up in middle of the night to finish my hw before going back to slumberland.. I think that it have become a habit, now wan sit up also nt possible to say i'll jump up... This year new year nt much of the mood cos everything have seem to "bland" down...

Ytd went to xin yi's hse in e afternoon, played blackjack & ate KFC(she pay)... Wen i went in at first lost but later xin yi & i join tgt den we won.. Nt bad.. After tt dey cont'd playin den i went over to Junction 8 mit my cuzin & sis... Ryan was wif me den my cuzin & sis tot he my bf... -__-'' Den later went wif my cuzin 2 sakae sushi!!! It seriously e japanese restaurant i lik best... (: Add usual food den after tt went to shop for stuff.. Candy was lik running den was lookin at my phone, look up & she fell.. She cried but i find it a little funny.. Duno why oso la, mayb she recovered fast..

'O' levels' getting nearer and nearer, gotta buck up!!! Everyone takin 'O's this year, Gambate!!!

WYCF Part 2

I seriously cannt get onto facebook, cos i get hooked to it... Anyway here comes Part 2.. =)

After Everlasting Meldoy was an intermission so we went back to our holding area which is the terrace to take e books for the 2nd part of e concert!!

Now, e combine choir up on stage!!!

1st song: Morning Tide by Stephen Leek, e person who wrote e SYF song (White Horses) for next yr..

2nd song: The North Wind & The Sun.. Persuasion is better than Force(rmb tt man)

3rd Song: The Goose & The Swan.. Music can delay death.. So those who dun cherish music, u r of no hope.. haha!!!

4th Song: Waltzing Matilda.. Jolly jumbuck camped by the bilabong... It's a jazz folksong, very cute & happy song.. :D

5th Song: WYCF Theme Song - Child Of Destiny.. This song is full of emotions for all the participants of WYCF'08, i would say cos it's our last song & last moment together but i believed that everyone gave it their best for this song as it would be something that goes on in our heart!!!

Still havin WYCF withdrawal symtoms, i would just subconciously sing the songs repeatedly like doo-in to Ombra Mai Fu, Singing a melody in my heart as it's everlasting, singing to how the sun beat the wind using persuasion, how the swan sing as it was threatened with death....

Happy New Year to ppl reading my blog!!! Like wad i would say, put away the best of 2008 in your heart & enjoy 2009 too!!! I'm enjoying my 2009 by chionging my homeworks!!

Juz before i blog WYCF Day 11 Part 2, shall blog bout past week...

Have been slackin 4 e past days, starin at my hw & nt doin it.. I'm incorrigible larh.... Den last friday wad Sec 1 registration.. Loads of Sec1 tis yr, oso alot of parents tis yr.. Den went to advertise 4 choir.. Next yr SYF so hopefully sec1s, plz join if u love singing, have a passion for singing etc...

Haf been playin viwawa juz now so cannt blog part 2.. XD Sushido banner.. Juz random larh..

For this blog be the proof, i must finish at least 2 hw by tis sunday or whoever who wna spotcheck & know tt i haven do, treat u to 1 bottle of greentea.. ok?? :D

WYCF Day 11

It's e BIG DAY 4 us!!! Our GALA CONCERT!!!!
First we were supposed to report at 9am but dey started early, Zheng Yi & I was a little late, reached at 9.05 like tt, and Ru Wen was like 8.50 den wake up!!! She took taxi down and reached at ard 9.30, nt so late cos she took taxi (like my style)... XD

SATB had a final rehearsal with Dr. Rogers until around 10.30am or later den it was SSA's turn.. So was slackin around & took photos at that time.. Ru Wen suggested that we print out e photos so we can let the conductors & clinicians sign at the end of the event.. So at 11.30am went to ask for permission from Miss Sim & Miss Wang to go out & print photos, they suggested that we go to The Adelphi to print it as they print nice ones there... Went there, 1photo was at 70cents cos we want it immediately, expensive.. But shop around cos nidda wait den went to Funan IT mall to buy marker cos my white marker goin no ink liao... Loads of photographs to be autographed la..(it rhymes.. XD)

Went back and was suppose to haf lunch, but didn't seem to interest us so we went hungry.. Went back to put our stuff, den go for combine rehearsal with Mr Chilcott.. After that went back to our holding area, the terrace to put on last min make-up but SATB girls gt more tym cos SSA is up first.. After that e ppl chase us out but is askin us to get ready..

SATB in the house... LOL like concert like that!!! We went up, was in 2nd row, took off my specs den feel so blind, can onli see ppl on stage... (e different colours used, refers to e mood)
1st song: My Heart is Inditing(With orchestra), super duper nice & happy song!!!

2nd song: Ombra Mai Fu, all u hear is doos.. haha!!!

3rd Song: Lebenslust, it means Joy Of Life, so of course, it's a joyful song!!! At first was sang by a small group den everyone!!! Joyful!!!

4th Song: Der gang Zum Liebchen, it means way to my sweetheart, this is a love songs which says about the male lookin for the female but it has no ending so u dunno whether the female is abducted or found.. But SATB decided to put the ending as cannot be found & it became a very sad song.. =(

5th Song: Everlasting Melody!!! It's a gospel song as mentioned before, very lively too, with clapping at the end.. Crescendo & Decrescendo, Solo parts makes this a perfect, lively song!! It tells of when one haf no song & one juz sing out this melody, this everlasting melody, with a tune of love & peace!!! MARVELLOUS SONG..

11days of WYCF

Ok, i'm really gonna blog!! Once, i get onto facebook, i seem to be addicted so after ard 45min, i'm here to post!! Bear with me, this is gonna be very long!!!
Day 1 (1-12-2008)
First Day reporting to CCAB, ru wen was late, but by the time we reach, it was juz nice 9am or a little earlier, so we wasn't late.. After that we got to know Mr Toh (SATB instructor) & Mifiona ( SATB pianist).. Den we started warm-up, was teasing ru wen, we gonna do that & she duno how to do.. so right after i say this, we were told to do and she went OMG, i was like so embarrassed!!! But nevertheless she's learning & is able to do a little now!!!
We learn the songs by Handel, Ombra Mai Fu & My Heart is inditing.. (FYI inditing means set to writing.. Our heart is set to writing a good matter & e matter is the coronation of a queen if i nvr rmb wrongly..) Den sectionals, learn Everlasting Melody..(didn't like it at first but love it eventually) So we went thru e songs after that, everything was fine so Mr Toh said mayb we wednesday(day 3) dun nid come!!!

Day 2 (2-12-2008)
Learn 2 german songs Lebenslust & Der Gum Zum Liebchen, was lik how to pronounce this damn words!!! First time learning how to read German & we haf to sing, how can me, a dunno how to pronounce one sing but manage to sing thru, cannt really hear the words... XD
Den we sing thru e songs & mr toh did everlasting first, we tot he wanted to liven up our mood, who knows he say he juz wanted to get tt song out of his head cos it became very everlasting wen we did that as e last song on day 1... So we still have to come the next day cos we'll be practising with the SNYO ppl 4 My heart is inditing & we nidda refine our german songs cos it sounds hokkien..

Day 3 (3-12-2008)
Had small group practising how to pronounce & sing e german songs 1st...After break practise with a few SNYO ppl, 2 violins, 1 viola, 1 double bass, 1 cello & 2 oboes together sounds damn nice!!! Den we refine all our songs and again we did everlasting melody!!!
It's indeed very everlasting with the SATB!!! So far, e SATB seem to be doin well as we are often let off earlier than SSA... & heard that SSA was envy at tt tym... =D We also learn songs 4 combine choir..

Day 4 (4-12-2008)
Learn songs for combine choir, had sectionals, was somewad tired so i learn until i fell asleep!!! Ru wen left early today & grace, shu min, ying qing was in alto 1 & both of us alto 2 so i became damn bored & lost!!! At first Mr Toh wasn't here so wen he came , quite a few ppl was lik screamin den Miss Yin was lik, how come he come u all scream den i dun haf(or sth lik tt).. Lol..

Day 5 (5-12-2008)
Last day, had combine den after lunch, went to auditorium at CCAB, SSA sing e songs they've learn to SATB & vice versa.. (P.S. wen i change the format of the recording, i will load the songs by SATB, nvr record SSA one cos phone low batt. Paiseh!!!)
Den after tt both sang, we sang Child Of Destiny( WYCF Theme Song) but from second verse... And last day with instructors so took photos.. And the photos are those loaded up in the earlier post.. =)

Day 6 (6-12-2008)
Reported at Singapore Conference Hall, as we havin practice with the SNYO.. I was late so took taxi down, near $10, am broke after that.. den went to find zheng yi & ru wen at Tanjong Pagar MRT station.. Den queue up to get the festival choir pass & t-shirt.. Den had warm up & started practice with SNYO.. Ru Wen & i got to know this guy Jeremy from SNYO, playin trombone.. We know him thru borrowing pencil, funny rite...
Den went to shop at Bugis, Ru Wen went on a shopping spree & we went to eat Sakae!!!!
Ooo-ii-shiiii!!!!

Day 7 (9-12-2008)
WYCF opening ceremony at Victoria Concert Hall, reported, didn't haf lunch(cos dun like), change to our own choir purple costume & court shoesm, slack around, sound check den got ready 4 performance.. Did nt haf warm-up so my voice sounded very rough... after did some warm-up so gt a little better... Den it was performance tym.. Really hard to compete with a loud orchestra but everything went fine, perhaps it was a weekday, nt much ppl... =(

Day 8 (10-12-2008)
Had rehearsal & with Mr Chilcott at VCH, and we realize that he's very funny & fun to get along with.. Wen t thru Morning Tide, the Goose & Swan and the North Wind & the Sun... Den had a lecture, ru wen & i was tired that we dozed off but i did wake up whereas she was asleep!!
After that went back to CCAB, haf lunch den went to music studio rehearse with Dr Rogers.. He's a very fun guy too.. Den sang e songs, practise with the few SNYO ppl (we got to know 1 more jeremy, wad a small world), den learn a new way of singing Everlasting Melody as it's a gospel song..

Day 9 (11-12-2008)
Had rehearsal with Mr Chilcott at VCH, same as ytd den we went thru waltzing matilda & other songs, did refining oso.. Had lecture by Dr. Zachariah Goh den we sat at e back, for fear of being caught in case we are asleep.. Den we awoken by his slide of Dim Sum words.. XD
After that SATB can go home cos Dr Rogers havin workshops wif participants.. Went to shop at Raffles City den came back for Dr. Rogers workshop.. There were 2 sessions but e 1st one full hse so we didn't get to go in so went to see primary school masterclasses with Mr Chilcott instead.. They were great, Mr Chilcott also did sign languange with Woodlands Primary Choir for his song "Can You Hear Me?"
After that chiong to second session of Dr Roger's workshop.. Saw Mr Ong, after tt zheng yi & me went marina arcade play den shop a while den went back to VCH to view that night's concert.. One phrase to describe: Great & not to be missed!!! Primary School kids are so kaa-waa-ii!!!

Day 10(12-12-2008)
Same as the previous 2 days, had warm-up & rehearsal with Mr Chilcott & we went thru all songs including Child Of Destiny.. After that lecture again, sat even behind den fell asleep at occassions until the lecturer talk about sitting posture which got me awake.. Even answered questions about how many bones at ribcage... Biology interest me lah!!!
Den took lunch, had lunch + teabreak and board bus back to CCAB.. Had warm-up with Dr Rogers, den practise & refine e songs, rehearse with the few SNYO ppl too 4 the last tym b4 the big thing.. After that went to orchard as ru wen needed to buy e clothes for tmr's performance.. We met a very nasty person on the bus(details, doesn't interest me too much to disclose cos the person is juz to...haiz...)
After tt, e group of us(Ru Wen, Jeremy, Boy Boy, Shu Min, Kah Ean, Zheng Yi & me) rush to VCH lik siao is lik we gonna vomit anytime cos we juz ate.. Nevertheless we got there in tym to watch but was perspiring, feeling very warm tt we didn't enjoy much of the first segment of the performance but the JCs are great.. We got to know our ex-conductor was in The Singers Ensemble.. We were shock!!!
We took loads of photos after e performance ended, it was like non-stop for the few of us!!! And everyone was so happy.. (check out e photos on my facebook but i'll load up soon, hopefully)

Day 11(13-12-2008)
Finally the big day but i have to go off, will blog wen i come on again.. =D

Cannot Get To Sleep!!!

All thx to a mocha ice-blended, poor jovin can't get to slp & she haf to get up by 6am tmr... sad case... Anyway Jovin didn't waste any tym n updated her facebook profile, added frenz, photos, etc.. So check out my facebook profile!!! I duno why, my card reader juz can't read my toshiba 4GB card... I can't upload new photos from there... Zzzzz...

Anyway, juz tot of this word tt my colleague played a trick on me... nt writin down, u can ask a person how to pronounce the word(by spellin out slowly 4 them) flo-wer... Correct pronunciation shud be flower(flaw-wer) but dumb dumb me go n pronounce it as flow-wer!!!! Aren't i dumb!!!!

Since my card can be read, let me load some photos... 4hrs more of slumber sleep but i still can't get to sleep!!!!!! Does anyone know e software 4 convertin amr files to mp3 file?? Tag box shud b up soon, for the tym being plz leave under comments... tks!!! =D

December's Great!!!!!!

Ok, i admit tt i'm lazy but 'm restricted too... Anyway First of all, decided to change blog, a little sick of e previous blog BUT i'm still a JJ LIN FAN!!!!!!!

Thank You, Mark, Ryan, Xin Yi, Zheng Yi, Ru Wen and her sister for celebrating my birthday 4 me... Had loads of fun n it is very memorable!!!! U ppl r so cheeky but thanks alot!!!

Now about WYCF!!! I really didn't regret comin 4 this... It is absolutely fun!!!!! Mr Toh is e best instructor i've ever met... How i hope he's our school instructor!!!! Mr Yong is gd too, but very on!!! I've learnt quite a few new things here in WYCF.. Lik warm-ups, sum were quite ridiculous, lol but it's helps!! I'm in SATB so i found out how powerful male voices were, eye-opening... Den we r great, learnt 10 songs in juz 5 days but nt really memorized especially e 2 german songs SATB haf!!! In GY choir, we learn line by line in sectionals but in WYCF SATB, we juz go straight into the song n how do we managed, u guess??? By side-singing n following e great ppl!!! But our choir is juz too small to do tt... What a pity!!! WYCF opening ceremony was a success!!! Catch WYCF SSA, SATB, Combined choirs this saturday(13/12) at Victoria Concert Hall, 3pm for our gala concert.. Give your support to frenz from Anglican High and XinMin Sec on the 11th(THU), AJC, ACJC, RJC & VJC on the 12th(FRI). Both THU & FRI would be at VCH at 7.30pm Tickets are priced at $11, available from SISTIC..

Photos and preview of the songs we r singing will be posted up soon.. Songs will b wen i'm free to convert as it is recorded!!!
